Delete your CulturalPanvel account

CulturalPanvel is a community platform for the Panvel region, Navi Mumbai. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your information when you do.

Delete it yourself, in the app

  1. Open CulturalPanvel and sign in.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top bar to open your profile.
  3. Go to the About tab and scroll to the bottom.
  4. Tap Delete my account.
  5. Read what will happen, type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete my account again.

If you only want a break rather than a deletion, Pause my account sits just above it. Pausing hides your business or group listing and leaves everything else alone; you can come back at any time.

If you can't get into the app

If you have uninstalled the app, lost access to your phone number or Google account, or simply prefer not to do it yourself, email culturalpanvel@gmail.com from the address linked to your account, or tell us the phone number you signed in with. We will verify that the account is yours and delete it for you.

What happens, and when

Straight away

For the next 30 days — you can change your mind

Sign back in and choose Keep my account. Everything comes back exactly as it was, including your posts, comments and events. Anything you had deleted yourself before this stays deleted.

After 30 days

Your account is deleted permanently. Your name, email address, phone number, profile photo and cover photo are erased, and your sign-in credential is removed, so nobody can sign in as you again. This cannot be undone.

What is deleted and what is kept

Your name, email address, phone number and photos Deleted after 30 days.
Your sign-in credential Deleted after 30 days. You can sign up again later as a new member.
Your posts, comments and events Hidden immediately and never shown again. They remain in the database without your name attached.
Likes, follows and your notification history Deleted after 30 days.
Your business, music group or mandal listing Hidden immediately. Because a listing is a community record that outlives whoever registered it, it is not destroyed — after 30 days it is passed to a moderator, who can hand it to a new owner. It no longer carries your name or your contact details.
Moderation and safety records Kept without your name attached. This covers our record of moderation decisions and any reports about content, which we have to keep so that moderators can review what happened. These are not visible to other members.

How long deletion takes

The 30-day period is a grace period for your benefit, not processing time — your information is out of sight from the moment you ask. Deletion runs once a day, so the final erasure completes within 24 hours of the 30 days ending.
